Rules and Regulations

  1. Ducks will be launched into Wolf Pen Creek in College Station, TX on Saturday, April 24th, 2010.
  2. Entrants do not need to be present to win.  Winners not present will be notified within fourteen working days after the race.  If any prizes are left unclaimed after thirty days following the race, the prizes will be forfeited
  3. All ducks entered will be provided by and remain the property of The Children’s Museum of the Brazos Valley (CMBV).
  4. Once the ducks are launched, they are on their own.  No attempt to free or interfere with any duck is permitted, unless deemed necessary by the Race Committee.
  5. Each duck entered in the race will be assigned a unique number.
  6. Ducks are adopted (participants acquire and receipt a number corresponding to one of the 5,000 ducks in the race).  The number of ducks adopted and entered in the race is limited to 5,000 ducks.
  7. The person’s name that appears on the entry ticket corresponding to the first ducks in order of finish will be awarded prizes.  Winners shall be determined by the order in which the ducks cross the finish line as determined by a trusted public official, chosen by the CMBV.  Their decisions are final.
  8. Presenter reserves the right, at its sole option, to substitute prizes of comparable value.
  9. Any and all taxes and fees are the sole responsibility of the winners.  No cash equivalent prizes will be provided in lieu of the designated prizes.  A list of prizes shall be available to entrants on the day of the race.  Restrictions and limitations may apply to the prizes awarded.
  10. By entering, entrants release the CMBV and its members, directors, agents, employees, and other related entities from any and all liability with respect to prizes.
  11. By entering, winners consent to the promotional use of their names and likenesses without additional compensation.
  12. Chances of winning depend on the total number of qualified entries or number of ducks sold.
  13. All decisions and interpretations of rules and regulations will be made by the CMBV and judgment is final.
  14. If the CMBV determines, in its sole discretion, that the race cannot occur at the scheduled time for any reason, the race will be postponed to another date and time by public announcement.
  15. A parent or legal guardian must be present with a child to claim a prize (children are any entrants under the age of 18).
  16. All rules and regulations are subject to change and can be found on the CMBV website.
